Distance Healing
Many people have asked me how healing and distance healing work. How does the energy get to the person I'm working on? What should they expect their experience to be like? While every healer and every healing session is different, there are some commonalities that I've described below.

How Does Distance Healing Work?
There are many ways by which healing energy can be sent over large distances. With Reiki, a special symbol is used to send the energy through space to where it needs to go. The symbol is unique to Reiki, and although there are many theories as to how it works, no one really knows what the mechanism is.
Some healers may simply intend that the energy, originating from Spirit, appear directly within the recipient. Because Spirit is omnipresent, it can be brought into manifestation anywhere in the world.
In addition to these two methods, I also have a tool that allows me to use the Web of Life as a "conductor" for the energies that I channel. Because most of these energies are divine in nature (and therefore not bound by the natural laws of duality), they travel easily through time and space, losing no "juice" along the way.
There are a few energies and techniques I use that require
the recipient to be physically present, because the energy
is so dense that it just doesn't travel well through the Web
easily enough. However, the most powerful energies that I
work with are also the most subtle, so getting a distance
healing is, for the most part, just as good as getting one
in person.

What Is a Distance Session Like?
Before a distance healing session I will talk to you on the phone for a few minutes to answer any questions you might have, and to set the intention for the healing. You can ask to work on a specific personal or physical issue, or we can leave it up to the Divine to choose what would be most appropriate. I will then ask you to find a comfortable place to sit or lie down so that you can be fully receptive and aware of what is happening, and then we get off the phone. Next, with my intent, I create a bridge between us, which will come out of my hands and body. I don't need to know where you are; I leave it up to divine intelligence to "find" you.
For 35-45 minutes I will send healing energy to you, releasing karma knots and other root sources of suffering. At the end, we will talk again on the phone so I can tell you what happened, and answer any questions you might have. Sometimes my clients don't feel like talking right after a session, which is fine and we'll just catch up some time later.
Typically, my clients feel some sort of energy, or waves of energy, passing through them. You may see images or have a stream of thoughts or emotions pass through your consciousness. You may even have physical reactions, spasming to some extent as blocks are released from your physical and subtle bodies. You may remember certain events in your life that you haven't thought of in a long time, or even things that never happened to you in this lifetime. In the end, you may feel that something has changed or shifted, but it has shifted at such a deep level that you can't identify exactly what it is. As you integrate the experience over the following days, you may find that you don't react to situations in the same way that you used to, or that you are more relaxed or energized than you ever remember feeling.
Sometimes, however, you may have a brief period of time in which you feel worse than you did before the healing—which is just old junk working its way out of your life, and is a natural part of the healing process that usually passes within 1-3 days. Once it has cleared, you will feel a new sense clarity and openness.
Whatever you feel directly after the healing, you will slowly integrate into a new way of being and experiencing the world. The immediate experience of relief may fade over time, but because the root cause of one or several karmic dramas has been permanently removed, you will never suffer in the same way again.
